Soccer Stud

Thomas is back in soccer and loving it!

Allergic Reaction?????

We did it again. We got the flu (well everyone except Joshua). Everyone was sick for about 6 days with temperatures of 102 degrees, and miserable. Then it was over!

Molly was the last one to get over the flu and her fever ended on Friday. BUT, these little spots appeared all over her body on Friday morning. Augh! I took her to the doctor for a quick peek and he said it was just a rash and to watch it.

All seemed fine. Saturday, her fever shot up to 102 and she turned a little splotchy. We stayed home from St. Patrick's Day celebrations to make sure she wasn't contagious.

Sunday morning, Molly woke up and looked MISERABLE! It took mere moments to know we were heading into Urgent Care to get checked up.Her body became sooooo swollen.  She looked like this:

It was clear she was having a reaction. Turns out she is allergic to Ibprofen! They loaded her body full of Benadryl, she took some long long naps. And she slowly got better!

Later that day:

We are a couple days post-reaction now and Molly has lost all the swelling and welts. We had a follow-up with the pediatrician and all is well. And now we know. Not doing that again!

First Haircut

The boys were in desperate need of haircuts, and Katie's long hair (down to her behind) was driving me crazy!

Joshua after his haircut:

Katie did a great job. There was one moment when her hair was being combed out that it got snagged and she had a little meltdown. Poor girl was devastated, but recovered and then enjoyed her haircut.

Before:

I asked for her hair to be cut to just below her shoulders. But I think the stylist felt my nerves and left it a bit longer. Overall, she got 5 inches cut off and it's sooooooo much healthier!

Happy Birthday Sami

In the last year we've grown really close to some preschool friends. The parents all get along well, and the kids do too! Molly, in particular, has really grown fond of Sami. Sami's birthday party was at Jump and Bounce. The kids haven't been in a VERY long time and it's so much fun to see them do it now that they are older!

First Love Notes

Joshua has really made the transition to the new school. He's found a new buddy and in the first couple weeks, he received a little letter from London. It appears they share a love for a kids show called "Wild Kratts." Her note contained the words: Wild Kratts, Cheetah, and Beaver.

Joshua wrote a note back to London with the words: Snake and Proboscis Monkey

It's so much fun watching them form new friendships and talk about school.
