Happy New Year!!!!

The year 2010 comes to a close. What a year it has been! Like every year, filled with ups and downs, highs and lows. Life tends to go that way I think. You have to have a low so that you appreciate those highs.

We lost our friend Quincy to cancer in February. We lost grandpa Lyle in August. Molly broke her elbow. Josh got stitches, and then split his forehead open.

We celebrated TWO first birthdays! We celebrated TWO fifth birthdays! We saw first steps, heard first words, saw our first and second born start to read. New friendships were made, old friendships were reignited. Dan became the Spokane Indians Father of the Year. A very memorable camping trip.

We look forward to 2011. Our family moves into a new realm of living. Girls that will potty-train. Boys will go to Kindergarten. Soccer, ballet/tap, swimming, riding bikes. The glorious first days of spring when the world turns green again and 60 degrees feels like a sauna. The gorgeous days of fall when that same 60 degrees feels like snowsuit weather. The cycle goes on again. For those that we've lost. We enjoy those highs a little bit more as if we enjoy that moment a little bit for them. During the lows, we look to those we've lost and know they are looking out for us too.

Memorable moments of 2010:
